Men In Black 3 in 3D

Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones finally sign on to reprise their roles in Men In Black 3.

Director Barry Sonnenfeld provided new details about Men In Black 3 in an interview with entertainment site Showbiz 411.

He confirmed he will be returning behind the camera for the third film. He also broke the news that both Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones have signed deals to return. He then added that the third instalment will be in 3D.

While Will Smith was interested from the start to reprise his role as Agent J, Tommy Lee Jones needed more convincing. He was finally persuaded after a year of negotiations. He confirmed that he will wear the agent K suit and sunglasses again.

They hope to begin making Men In Black 3 this spring but the start date could be pushed to the end of the year. Columbia Pictures wants to release the film in May 2011.

The first film came out in 2007 and made $587 million US worldwide. The sequel came out in 2002 and earned $426 million US.
