Michael Jackson’s Doctor Still Off the Hook

Dr. Conrad Murray will not be arrested before 2010 for Michael Jackson’s death.

Authorities are still trying to make a decision concerning the arrest of Dr. Murray, Michael Jackson’s personal doctor who was treating him before his untimely death, reports People.

Patrick Gannon, an LAPD commander, stated, "A decision (on whether to prosecute) will be made in 2010. It is not going to be made this year."

The King of Pop’s death, which occurred on June 25 this year, was classified as a homicide by the Los Angeles County coroner, who recovered a large quantity of the toxic anaesthesia propofol in his body.

Dr. Murray admitted to administering propofol to Jackson to help him sleep. However, authorities must determine whether Murray was the sole individual responsible and what degree of negligence is considered criminal.

Murray had claimed that he was the first physician to administer propofol on Jackson, who referred to the substance as "milk."

Authorities are taking their time to consult other professionals, such as the state medical board and a Los Angeles law firm that will finally decide whether charges can be brought against the doctor and determine the grounds for the allegations.

The singer’s sister, Janet Jackson, recently blamed Dr. Murray, and remarked that he should not have the right to practice medicine anymore. During her appearance on In the Spotlight on ABC News, she said, "He was the one that was administering. I think he is responsible."
