Katherine Jackson has been deemed as the temporary guardian of Michael’s three children.
According to documents that were filed at a Los Angeles court, the King of Pop’s mother is now entrusted with guardianship of the children.
Judge Mitchell Beckloff granted her custody until August 3, which is the trial date set to determine whether the grandmother would become the children’s permanent caretaker.
However, Mrs. Jackson has not been given the right to manage her son’s assets, since the value has not yet been determined.
Deborah Rowe, the mother of Michael’s eldest children, Prince Michael Joseph Jackson and Paris Michael Katherine Jackson, 12 and 11, has not yet attempted to seek custody.
Prince Michael II, 7, was born from an anonymous surrogate mother.
