According to Britain’s ITV, Jackson was supposed to perform his song Thriller at the World Music Awards in London, but the star only sang a few lines of We Are The World with a group of children.
Jackson, 48, rarely makes public appearances. Last year, the star was acquitted of charges of sexual abuse of a child. The singer was given the Diamond Award at last night’s ceremony, presented by Beyonce Knowles.
Jackson said, "I dedicate this to the so many that have loved me and stayed by me throughout these years in the entertainment business."
Though fans were happy to see Jackson in what was referred to as a brave performance, some say that his voice is not the same.
