The story is about a Native American ex-Marine who is sent to recover the horse of a rich American’s mistress.
The film is being written by Apocalypse Now writer, John Milius, who was also responsible for Wanted: Dead or Alive.
Newell also directed Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which will be released in November.
