Miley Cyrus sets the record straight

Miley Cyrus addresses critics who say she is dressing too old for her age.

Young singer Miley Cyrus does not want to be told what she should wear or what she should sing about in her music. The Star reports she also doesn’t want people to think she is being slutty.

The 17-year old star will soon release her new album, Can’t Be Tamed. She made it her way even though some people thought she was going too far for a girl her age.

She says, "I’m not trying to be slutty. I’m not trying to be like, go to the club and get a bunch of guys. . . . What I’m trying to do is to make a point with my record and look consistent, in the way my record sounds and the way I dress."

Her choice of outfits has been criticized a lot lately. Some are saying the video for the single Can’t Be Tamed is too racy and provocative.

Cyrus admits she wears short shorts but sees nothing wrong with showing off her legs. She adds, "I’m really comfortable with my body, I work really hard to be fit and to know that I can wear whatever makes me most comfortable."

In April, Miley Cyrus revealed she was sick of people treating her like a child in spite of everything she had achieved. She hopes to get more respect when she turns 18 in November.
