Miley Cyrus to begin world tour

Young singer takes Party in the U.S.A. to South America.

Although less than a year ago, the young artist said she wanted to concentrate on her film career, Miley Cyrus has recently confirmed that she will instead be undertaking a world tour to promote her music, reports E!Online.

The Hannah Montana actress will kick off her international concert tour in Quito, the capital of Ecuador, on April 29, followed by a performance on May 1 in Lima, Peru. Additional dates have yet to be confirmed.

"Miley has a huge fanbase worldwide," a source said. "She’s pumped that her scheduled has opened up and allowed her to perform for fans abroad."

Cyrus has already begun preparations for the tour, and is expected to announce more overseas tour dates soon. The source says there will be no North American dates because Cyrus wants to focus on her international fans who rarely get to see her live.

As well, Bret Michaels has confirmed that the teen’s cover of his Poison hit Every Rose has its Thorn, from her latest album Can’t Be Tamed, is expected to drop later this year.

The release of the single was delayed after rumors circulated that Michaels was having an affair with Cyrus’ mother. Although the rumors were denied, it caused the record company to postpone the launch of the cover.

"The record label was supposed have to this huge humongous release of ‘Every Rose,’" the rocker said. "It was going to be Miley’s next-step song, but because of that, they stepped back.”
