Miley Cyrus Wants Out

The father and daughter are more interested in making music than they are producing the series Hannah Montana, and are hoping to be released from their contract with Disney, who produces the show.

TMZ has learned that Miley wants to be free from Disney so that she can focus on her singing career.  Her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, knows that there is more money to be made in the music industry than with a Disney cable series.

Now, the two are trying to be fired from their contracts with Disney, and are showing up late on the set.  The show’s other actors are furious with the turn of events.  Emily Osment, who plays Lilly Truscott on Hannah Montana, was once close to Miley, but now she turns her back on the young actress the minute the director yells "cut."

Billy Ray would like to do only 12 more episodes of the series, which infuriated Disney.  The star-producing company called the two stars ingrates, and insist that both father and daughter will complete all 24 episodes of the season.  Disney has also added 6 more shows to the contract.
