Young singer and actress Miley Cyrus, 17, does not want to end up in the middle of her parents’ divorce, so she is not taking any sides, reports usmagazine.com. Despite rumours about her mother’s shocking affair, the young pop star remains silent.
“Miley is not taking any sides on this. She has been upset recently,” a source close to the singer said. “She’s trying to keep everything private while her family works through this.”
Rumours began circulating this week that Tish Cyrus, 43, mother of Miley, had an affair with rocker Bret Michaels, as well as another fling that finally led the Achy-Breaky Heart singer, Billy Ray Cyrus, to file for divorce.
Michaels, 47, became close to the entire family this past February when he and Miley released the racy duet Nothing to Lose, said an insider. Representatives of both parents denied the cheating rumours, although a source close to the family said it was “a professional relationship that became something more.”
In divorce papers filed October 26, singer Billy Ray Cyrus, 49, has requested joint custody of their three minor children, Miley, who turns 18 on November 23, Braison, 16, and Noah, 10.
Luckily Miley Cyrus can leave it all behind her when she travels to Madrid this week to perform at the MTV European Music Awards on Sunday (November 7).
