Millie Mackintosh wore make up to ‘escape’

Millie Mackintosh has confessed she used make-up as a form of ”escapism” in her youth and spent hours piling on the cosmetics to hide her bad skin.

Millie Mackintosh wore make-up to ”escape”.

The former ‘Made In Chelsea’ star has confessed she used to spend hours piling on cosmetics to highlight her eyes and detract attention away from her bad skin.

She told make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury – who also founded her own eponymous cosmetics label: ”I wasn’t very confident as a teenager so makeup was kind of like an escapism. I’d spend an hour or two hours doing it.

”I had really bad skin so I’d spend so long trying to cover it up and distract from the skin. I’d make my eyes amazing.”

According to MailOnline, the brunette beauty is interested in releasing her own make-up range in the future as she is always looking out for the ”next big thing” in the beauty industry.

She explained: ”I love discovering the next big thing in beauty and I am definitely looking into it but I’m so busy at the moment.

”It would be a range of make-up combined with skincare.”

Luckily for Millie’s husband Stephen Manderson – also known by his stage name Professor Green – she has managed to cut down on the amount of products she uses and stores them neatly out of his way in the couple’s home.

She said: ”I have to be fair to Stephen, and so I keep it organised and out of the way, under our bed in pull out drawers – face, lips, and lashes.”
