Mischa Barton revealed that she made secret trips to a detox centre after being arrested for driving under the influence, reports Starpulse.com.
The actress, who was arrested last December, was sentenced to 36 months probation and forced to take alcohol education courses after she plead guilty to drunk driving charges.
The star admits that she even punished herself by admitting herself to an unnamed clinic, in order to prove to herself and authorities that she is not an alcoholic.
Barton expressed that she was angry with herself for having driven, knowing full well that she was beyond the legal blood alcohol limit. She said that there is no excuse for putting other people’s lives in danger.
