Mitch Marner’s return to Toronto: ticket prices are absurd

The change of address in the NHL this summer that created the biggest buzz was the Mitch Marner trade that sent him to the Vegas Golden Knights. I say trade, but it’s mostly an acquisition of negotiating rights for the Knights, who only sent Nicolas Roy. With the addition of the talented winger, Vegas is looking scarier and scarier.

) Jack Eichel and Marner on the same line is dangerous and will give opponents nightmares.

In short, the majority of Toronto Maple Leafs fans are sad to see him in a uniform other than the Leafs’. And the majority of these people are already looking forward to seeing him in Toronto again. It’ll only happen once this season, and the ticket prices are simply ridiculous. $1,000 for a pair of tickets in the 300s (the equivalent of the whites at the Bell Centre)… It’s got to be done. You’ve got to do it.

[content-ads]The worst thing is that it’s going to sell out in a lot anyway. Andthat’s not all… The Maple Leafs are selling standing room tickets and they’re $250.

When you lose one of your stars because you couldn’t really afford to extend his contract (and Marner didn’t seem too keen on the idea of coming back), you might as well make the most of it. At the time of writing, I decided to look at the remaining tickets for this game, which will take place on January 23, 2026. In the image below, all the (very) small blue dots are available seats.

And just for fun, I found a front-row ticket (the only one available) to see the price and jumped right in… Over $1600 for a single ticket, and I’ve circled and arrowed the seat in question (as best I could) to help you see it. Hurry if you’re a Mitch Marner fan.

To see Mitch Marner back in Toronto, you have to be one of those people more afraid of the end of the world than the end of the month, as my mother used to say.

I’m really looking forward to this game [spacer title=’Overtime’] – Sam Bennett,

– Listen.

– It has to be done.
