Modeling company courts Marc-André Grondin

Canadian actor branching out into modeling?

Canadian actor Marc-André Grondin could be the newest talent to sign with IMG Models, one of the biggest modeling agencies in the world, reports Cyberpresse.

The agency is currently courting Grondin, and if the actor chooses to sign on, he will join IMG’s illustrious ranks, which include such celebrities as Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Hillary Duff, Dakota Fanning and Julianne Moore.

The 27-year-old bilingual actor was born in Montreal and has been acting from an early age. When he was three years old, Grondin landed a role in a Minute Maid commercial and has been working steadily ever since.

After getting his start in French-language films, Grondin began branching out into English cinema, including a role as Régis Debray in Steven Soderbergh’s 2008 biopic Che starring Benicio del Toro.

Last year, he landed the leading role in Chameleon alongside X-Men‘s Famke Janssen, Sin City‘s Nick Stahl and Lost‘s Emilie de Ravin. Grondin played the dual-role of Frédéric Fortin and Nicholas Mark Randall in the psychological thriller about a French con man who pretends to be an American family’s missing son.

Within the French-language community, he is best known for his role as Zachary Beaulieu in the 2005 film C.R.A.Z.Y., for which he won a Jutra Award — an annual award that recognizes contributions to Quebec’s film industry.
