While initial autopsy results on the body of Simon Monjack reported last week that he that died of severe pneumonia and anemia, the same causes as his wife, Brittany Murphy five months before him, a new factor has come into play as well.
According to TMZ, investigators found mold in the couple’s West Hollywood Hills house that may have contributed to their deaths. The actress’s mother, Sharon Murphy, gave permission for investigators to visit the couple’s home to verify the presence of mold and large amounts were found on site.
Early in the investigation, mold had been brought up as a possible cause, but had never been considered adominant factor until recently.
Stocking Mold. a strain of mold found in houses that attacks the human respiratory system, is insidious because symptoms can take years to show up. Common symptoms include a rash, a cold, ‘flu and even neurological damage, and can eventually result in death.
