Monster Ball memories

Famed photographer offers fans a behind-the-scenes look at Lady Gaga’s tour.

Fans will get a chance to see candid shots of Lady Gaga backstage and on her tour bus. A new tell-all book of photographs will give people a glimpse inside Gaga’s life offstage.

Renowned photographer Terry Richardson has been following the pop star around for months on her 181-stop Monster Ball tour. Lady Gaga recounted how he can get too close sometimes.

Gaga told Japanese magazine Vogue Hommes: "He wanted to do a book about the Monster Ball, he wanted to shoot me backstage, not onstage, and look at who I am offstage. He’s on the bus with me. He just follows me everywhere. He’ll photograph me when I’m changing — those quick changes during the show. And sometimes I’ll have to pee during the show, and I’m always screaming, ‘Terry, get out!’"

No word on when the book will be released. In the meantime, the Monster Ball continues. Gaga plays a few more shows in the United States before heading back to Europe. She will perform again at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on March 3.
