Monster music video from Paramore

Rock band’s newest video now streaming online.

Rock band Paramore has unveiled the new music video for their single Monster, the first new music produced by the band since the departure of Josh and Zac Farro, reports MTV.

The song itself is largely about how the band will survive after losing their lead guitarist and drummer, who quit over concerns that lead singer Hayley Williams was putting her solo career ahead of the group.

The video, however, seems to set aside the old rift and focusses more on the current band – now a trio consisting of Williams, bassist Jeremy York and guitarist Taylor York.

The clip opens on the band floating in a pool of shallow water, intercut with images of its members wandering around a ruined and abandoned hospital.

This first Paramore single without the Farro brothers, Monster was also featured on the soundtrack of the recent blockbuster, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, so it’s a bit surprising the video didn’t build on the movie’s popularity.
