More Legal Woes for Courtney Love

Singer Courtney Love claims to have been a victim of credit card fraud.

American Express intends to sue the singer for  $350,000 in unpaid fees, but Love refuses to pay this amount because she was a victim of credit card fraud.

"AmEx knows the claim has no merit. We have told them this for a long time. AmEx’s law policies allowed fraudulent transactions to be charged to my client’s card," said the team of lawyers representing Kurt Cobain’s widow in the case.

This is not Courtney Love’s first bout with issues of finance. Last April, she claimed that millions of dollars were stolen from Kurt Cobain’s legacy. Also, in April 2008, she accused the London and Co. firm of not paying its share of the sale of the Nirvana catalogue.
