More Reasons To Stop Smoking

Smokers have a higher risk of contracting the influenza A virus (H1N1).

The French Office for Prevention of Smoking report that the influenza A (H1N1) epidemic is a good reason to stop smoking.

Many studies have shown that smokers have a 43% to 59% increased risk of contracting H1N1.

In addition, the vaccine against the disease was less effective in smokers compared to non-smokers.

The Office also points out that cigarette smoke has harmful effects on children, pregnant women and can cause complications during surgery.
