Morrissey to re-release 1992 single

Glamorous Glue accompanied by two previously-unreleased tracks.

A great sadness enveloped alternative music fans in the 1980s when U.K. band The Smiths, led by Steven Morrissey, broke up after only five years together.

Fortunately for fans of the Manchester band, frontman Morrissey was quick to start a solo career the following year with the excellent Viva Hate (1988).

Nine albums later, Morrissey will soon launch The Very Best of Morrissey, a compilation that focuses primarily on the early portion of his solo career, and to mark the occasion, will re-release his 1992 single Glamorous Glue.

However, to keep things interesting, he decided to include two songs recorded around the time of Viva Hate, but have never seen the light of day: Safe, Warm Lancashire Home and Treat Me Like a Human Being. The single and two B-sides drop on April 18.

One week later (April 25th), the singer will release a new solo compilation, The Very Best Of Morrissey, with this latest edition containing some alternate American remixes and a bonus DVD featuring his music videos.
