Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz are now husband and wife.
A rep for the actress told the Associated Press that Cruz married her longtime sweetheart at a private residence in the Bahamas earlier this month. Their immediate family was on hand to celebrate the nuptials.
The bride wore a dress by her old friend John Galliano.
The couple started dating in 2007 though they met back in 1992 on the set of Jamon, Jamon. That marked Cruz’s feature film debut.
They have never spoken publicly about their relationship, preferring to keep their private life private.
Penélope Cruz would not even confirm they were dating but did comment: "He’s a friend and the best actor in the world."
The Spanish actors shared the big screen in Woody Allen’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona in 2007. Cruz picked up a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in the film.
