The fifth album from the band, entitled The Resistance, will be released on September 14.
Singer Matt Bellamy revealed that he read the George Orwell book, "1984," shortly before writing the new Muse songs. Bellamy told Radio 1, "I read once in school about 15 years ago it was all about the politics." He continued, "When I read it this time I was much more taken with the love story between Juliette and Winston."
The first single from the new Muse disc, called Uprising, will be heard on the airwaves today.
