After many months of speculation, Kevin Shields, a member of My Bloody Valentine, confirmed that the group would be reuniting and Billboard.com announced that they will launch an album in the near future.
Shields stated that the group is working on many projects–an album which is nearly complete and was started in 1996, and a compilation of tracks recorded between 1993-1994, as well as new songs.
Shields indicated that the album would be launched before the end of the year, but did not specify when it would be distributed. He explained that their new tracks resembles their music style of the past with some differences.
