According to FemaleFirst, Campbell says that the murder of her friend Gianni Versace pushed her to abuse alcohol and drugs.
The model asserts that the shooting that happened outside of Versace’s house in Florida in 1997 caused a lot of personal problems for her.
Campbell declared, "The way he was killed really traumatised me. I partied whenever I wanted to, burning the candle at both ends. It put me spiritually and emotionally on my knees and triggered my self destruct button."
