According to the television station, ITV, Natalia Imbruglia, has opened her heart to women suffering from important injuries after childbirth. In medical terms, this is known as obstetric fistula.
In Ethiopia and Nigeria, these young women become incontinent, and are in constant pain after having children. As a result, the families and society leave these women alone. They need to get by on their own.
The singer of Shriver visited these women. She wanted to see what conditons these women find themselves in. Following this visit, Imbruglia decided she would dedicate herself to helping these women.
There are surgical procedures to lessen their suffering, but these procedures are very costly. Imbruglia, 31, is inviting the public to join her efforts, and lend a hand.
