The Star Wars star will play the daughter of adventurer Indiana Jones in the next film. The actress is a friend of the project’s director and producer, George Lucas. Indiana Jones will again star Harrison Ford in the title role.
The news was announced by Karen Allen, who played the love of the adventurer in Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Arc.
In addition to Ford and Portman, Jake Gyllenhaal and Sean Connery will also star in the film, which is due to be released in 2008.
