Natalie Portman has saved the film project Love and Other Impossible Pursuits, which was interrupted by Jennifer Lopez’s abrupt departure.
Portman will now be joining Scott Cohen and Charlie Tahan in the Ayelet Waldman novel adaptation.
Directed and written by Don Roos (Bounce), the film will follow a young woman who finds that the key to saving her marriage lies within her relationship with her precocious stepson.
Filming will begin on November 10. The film is expected to be released in June 2009.
Until then, we hope to see Natalie Portman in the film New York, I Love You. A release date has yet to be announced.
