Naya Rivera grateful for Glee

Naya Rivera is ”grateful” to have starred on ‘Glee’.

While the 26-year-old beauty – who plays lesbian cheerleader Santana Lopez – is disappointed that the hit musical comedy will come to an end after six seasons, she is honored to have been part of it.

She said: ”I think we’ve had a really good run on the show. I think that all good things must come to an end, so whenever that comes to an end, I’ll just be grateful that I was even on it.”

Meanwhile, Naya admits she struggled to sing The Perry Band’s emotional song ‘If I Die Young’ in a tribute episode dedicated to her late co-star Cory Monteith, who died from a combination of alcohol and heroin in July, but is ”proud” of how the episode – which aired earlier this month – turned out.

She added to Access Hollywood: ”It was really difficult, it brought tears to my eyes. It was definitely tough, but all in all, I think it was a great episode. I’m really proud of everybody.”

As she gets ready to close one chapter in her life, the star has a lot to look forward to as she recently got engaged to rapper Big Sean.

‘Glee’ creator Ryan Murphy recently confirmed the hit show will come to an end in 2015.
