Showbizz.net reported that R.E.M. will be launching their next album, Accelerate in April.
This album was created in Vancouver and Dublin, with director Jacknife Lee, who has previously worked with Bloc Party and Snow Patrol.
The group’s singer, Michael Stipe, described this new album as the most rapidly recorded album in 20 years. He revealed that the tracks will have a lot of guitar.
The last album done by R.E.M. was Around the Sun, in 2004.
