New Beastie Boys album in the fall?

The Beastie Boys hope to release their new album in September.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the Beastie Boys are looking to release their next album, Hot Sauce Committee Part I, in the month of September.

The album should have dropped last year but was understandably delayed. Adam "MCA" Yauch was diagnosed and treated for a cancerous tumour on his salivary gland.

Yauch told the group’s fan mailing list last October, that he was "healthy, strong and hopeful that I’ve beaten this thing."

The 45-year old rapper said, "It was really disappointing to have to hold the record and postpone the tour, but doctor’s orders. We may or may not release Hot Sauce Committee Part I depending on how my health is come September. We want to but we have to play it by ear."

He went on to add that the Beastie Boys still might want to change a few things. He said, "I was just talking to Adam (Horovitz, fellow band member) and Mike (D) today on the phone and we were talking about working on it a bit. We finished the record over a year ago, so we want to take a look at it and re-evaluate and make sure it is what we want to put out there and that we are still happy with it."
