New blood joins Twilight

The Twilight saga welcomes a new vampire into the mix.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn welcomes new vampires when it begins shooting in Vancouver and Louisiana in November. ET Online reports that actor Rami Malek is joining the cast.

Malek will play the role of Benjamin, a member of the Egyptian coven. He has the power to control the four elements, earth, fire, air and water. He will travel to the States to help the Cullen family in their battle against the Volturi clan.

The roles of three other Egyptian coven members, Amun, Kebi, and Tia, have not yet been cast.

Rami Malek recently starred in The Pacific. The popular World War II miniseries was produced by Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman.

The last book in the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer is being released as two films which will be shot back to back.

The first part will hit theatres in November 2011 while the second and final Twilight film will be released in November 2012.
