Gossip singer Beth Ditto is teaming up against with plus-sized clothing retailer Evans to create a new collection, Coco Perez reports.
A spokesperson for the retailer says, "It will be Victorian mixed with 80s punk, through to 40s vintage with a noughties modern edge."
This new collection by Beth Ditto for Evans will be available in stores in September.
Ditto has offered her take on plus-sized fashion in the past. She said, "I don’t understand all these women who say they feel betrayed by fashion. A piece of clothing can’t talk – it can’t tell you that you can’t have it – so really, you’re just telling yourself that. You make yourself the victim, because if you want clothes that bad, then make them yourself. You have to get creative if you’re fat. I’m really good at turning a belt into a necklace, and I can always find a nice pair of earrings."
The first collection by Beth Ditto for Evans launched last July and got rave reviews. The collection is inspired by Ditto’s signature look, her uninhibited style with lots of neon colours, retro prints, 80s cuts and a punk touch.
