Jean Paul Gaultier will soon offer some casual creations at more affordable prices than his collection of original pieces.
They are not part of a new collection and will instead complement the hundred pieces, including some denim, which will found in Gaultier boutiques.
The new pieces will be unveiled during Paris Fashion week taking place in October. They will then go on sale in the Spring 2011 season in various Jean Paul Gaultier boutiques.
Last June, it was announced that Gaultier teamed up with luxury lingerie brand La Perla to launch a 27-piece collection. The lingerie will be available in November at select La Perla and Gaultier boutiques, as well as select department stores.
In a press release, Gaultier commented: "Lingerie is part of my DNA and of my heritage. In my latest prêt-à-porter collection I revisited the conical bras and corsets worn as outerwear. This collaboration was a natural and logical step, especially since La Perla is the pearl of the lingerie, with the best savoir faire."
