According to People, it was Elin Nordegren who set the chain of events in motion last November which resulted in Tiger Woods’ car accident. She pretended to be her husband and sent text messages to his alleged mistress, Rachel Uchitel.
After gathering info from two Nordegren acquaintances, The Daily Beast has reconstructed a part of that fateful November 27 night which unleased the Woods’ infidelity scandal.
Earlier that evening, Woods asked his wife to talk to Uchitel on the phone, before the National Enquirer reported on the affair, to convince her the relationship was platonic.
Nordegren then decided to verify her suspicions. She posed as her husband and sent text messages and phoned Uchitel when the latter answered the messages.
Nordegren then rushed to wake up her husband, asleep after taking some sleeping pills. He sent a new message to Uchitel. His wife found it and chased him out of the house.
A source close to Uchitel confirmed that this story was very plausible.
Tiger Woods is rumoured to be in therapy to overcome his sex addiction. The reports also say that Elin Nordegren is waiting for this therapy to end before she makes a decision about a divorce.
