New duet from Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton?

Country music newlyweds plan to record together.

Country music newlyweds Miranda Lambert, 27, and Blake Shelton, 35, are planning to record a duet together, reports Female First.

The Award-winning hitmakers married on May 14, after dating since 2006. Both were in New York City last Friday (July 8), appearing on separate morning television shows.

Lambert played Central Park as part of Good Morning America’s summer concert series, while Shelton made an appearance on the Today Show.

When asked by reporters whether she and her new groom would team up for a record, she said, “We want to actually. Hopefully, on my next record, we’re going to.”

They have worked together in the past, with Lambert singing background vocals on Shelton’s 2008 country cover of Michael Bublé’s song Home, which became a number one single on the hot country songs chart.

The couple also co-wrote and recorded the duet Bare Skin Rug, for his studio album Startin’ Fires released later in 2008. They also co-wrote three songs for her 2009 album Revolution, and he sang background vocals on Maintain the Pain.

Lambert announced that she’s releasing two new albums this year. The first is an album with girl group Pistol Annies, a trio that includes Lambert, Angaleena Presley and Ashley Monroe, which debuts in August. Her solo album Four the Record will hit stores on November 1.
