New Feist album debuts online

Metals can be heard in full on the Internet one week before official release.

Feist fans will be happy to hear that after a long four-year wait, they can now hear her new album streaming online one week before its October 4 North American release date.

Yesterday (September 27), the Canadian singer-songwriter Leslie Feist made her new album available on her website for fans who enter their e-mail address.

The 12-track album was recorded last February in California according to ‘A Note from Leslie’ on the singer’s website.

Her fourth studio album, Metals is a follow-up to 2007’s The Reminder, which catapulted the singer onto the world stage, with songs like 1234, which was used in an Apple iPod ad.

The 35-year-old artist is supporting the album with a European and North American tour which kicks off in Amsterdam, Netherlands on October 15 and finishes December 6 in Quebec City, Quebec. The European leg of the tour has sold out in four of the five venues, with tickets only available for the Paris concert.
