New fragrances by Amouage

Amouage introduces new fragrances inspired by famous French poet Baudelaire.

Amouage announced the launch of new fragrances for men and women called Memoir Man and Memoir Woman.

Basenotes.com reports Amouage creative director Christopher Chong drew inspiration from 19th century French poet Charles Baudelaire. Chong wanted to "unlock the unfathomable mysteries that reside within human nature."

Memoir Man has top notes of absinth, wormwood, basil and mint, heart notes including rose, frankincense and lavender and base notes of sandalwood, vetiver, guaiac wood, amber, vanilla, musk, oakmoss, leather and tobacco.

Memoir Woman is composed of top notes of mandarin, cardamom, absinth, pink pepper, heart notes including pepper, clove bud, opulent white blossoms, rose, jasmine, precious dark wood and frankincense, as well as base notes of styrax, oakmoss, castoreum, leather, labdanum, fenugreek and musk.

Both bottles feature black Swarovski crystal with silver metal caps. The bottles are designed to resemble "black fog rising from the wet cobbled streets of Europe."

These new Memoir fragrances by Amouage are available in a 50 ml and 100 ml Eau de parfum.
