New John Lennon Film Released

The London Film Festival will present for the first time a new film on John Lennon.

The next London Film Festival will finish with the premier of the film Nowhere Boy, which describes John Lennon’s adolescence.

The film tells the story of 15-year-old John Lennon and his relationship with his mother, Julia Lennon, and his aunt, Mimi Smith, who raised him.

Actor Aaron Johnson, who previously starred in the series Nearly Famous and in the film The Illusionist, will play Lennon. Kristin Scott Thomas will play Mimi while Anne Marie Duff will star as Julia.

The festival will take place from October 14 to 29. The film Nowhere Boy will be released in theatres on December 25 in the United Kingdom. There is currently no American release date.
