According to Variety, Eastwood will be on both sides of the camera for this Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow Pictures movie. Details of the movie’s plot have not been revealed. It will be Eastwood’s return to the big screen after the box-office hit Million Dollar Baby. Eastwood’s work in this movie earned him an Oscar in 2005 for Best Director, and the film also won an Oscar the same year for Best Movie.
Eastwood will also be directing The Human Factor for Warner Bros., starring Morgan Freeman in the role of Nelson Mandela. The project is still in development.
Gran Torino will be in theatres in December, and before it is released, the director’s movie Changeling will be on the big screen. It will star Angelina Jolie, and be distributed by Universal Pictures.
