Actor Jeff Bridges launched a singing career today with the release of his self-titled album. The ten-track LP is Bridges’s first major label studio album and a chance to fulfill a lifelong dream.
"People try to define things and make it easier for their mind to digest things, I guess. But music has been part of my life since I was a kid," he told the Windsor Star. "Music meant more to me when I was young, but I went into acting because of family and because it was the path of least resistance."
Now! 18, also due out this week, brings together several big names in a single collaborative album. Tracks include top hits like Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO, Judas by Lady Gaga, Rolling in the Deep by Adele, and Last Friday Night by Katy Perry.
Also out this week: emo rockers Braid release a four-song EP titled Closer to Closed; folk band Beirut releases their new album The Rip Tide; and singer-songwriter Jewel releases a new children’s album entitled The Merry Goes ‘Round.
