Simple Plan releases new album Get Your Heart On!

Canadian pop punk band Simple Plan launched their new album today. Get Your Heart On! is the band’s fourth studio album, a follow-up to 2008’s self-titled album.

The new recording features the band’s first bilingual single, Jet Lag, which features Natasha Bedingfield on the English version and Marie-Mai on the French. The French track will come standard in francophone regions, but can also be purchased as an iTunes bonus track with the English album.

Weird Al Yankovic is back with new music, releasing his 13th studio album, Alpocalypse – his first new album since 2006’s Straight Outta Lynwood. The record includes Perform This Way – Weird Al’s parody of the Lady Gaga hit single Born This Way. The parody almost got axed after a miscommunication between Gaga and her manager, but made it onto the album in the end.

Also out this week: American rapper Pitbull releases his sixth studio album, Planet Pit; electro hop duo LMFAO launch their second studio album, Sorry for Party Rocking; indie singer-songwriter Bon Iver releases a self-titled album, a follow-up to 2008’s For Emma, Forever Ago; and Michael Bolton’s compilation album, Gems: The Duets Collection, hits shelves.
