New Priorities For Gwen Stefani

Gwen Stefani is having difficulty concentrating on her music career because she’s busy being a wife and a mother.

According to an interview with Elle magazine, in stores on July 1, Stefani said that she has had a lot of changes in her life since her beginnings with the band No Doubt, reports Us Magazine.com.

Stefani, who has two children, Kingston, 3, and Zuma, 9 months, says she is no longer a musician, but rather a wife and a mother.

The singer, who has been married to Gavin Rossdale since 2002, said, "Now I’m a wife and a mother of two. It’s a really different role." She added, "I always referred to No Doubt as a marriage, because that’s what it’s like to be together for so long and go through what we’ve been through. I can’t really have that relationship with them anymore. My priorities are always going to be my husband and my family now."

Stefani, who is currently on tour with No Doubt, said she has difficulty writing new songs while raising her children. She said, " I might never be able to write another song. Who knows? I did try. So here we are, going on a tour without a new record."
