This new project will star Almodóvar’s idol, Penélope Cruz. It will also star Blanco Portillo, who recently played in Almodóvar’s movie Volver. It will also star Lluis Homar, who played in La Mala educación.
"I need to be completely sure about it," Almodóvar said of "Piel," an adaptation of the French novel "Mygale."
He added, "The new story has characters from a universe which is familiar to me and makes me feel more involved." He added that the story features five or six key roles and one is earmarked for Cruz."
