According to various American sources, the next disc from the band will be Zeitgest and will be released on July 7.
Singer Billy Corgan and bassist Jimmy Chamberlin are the two original members of the band who are still together. The two men worked together in the studio with producers for their latest collection. The band’s last release, MACHINA/The Machines of God, was released in 2000.
Smashing Pumpkins plans a few weeks of concerts in Germany in June and has also agreed to perform for the Austria Nova Rock Festival in Switzerland.
