New Protests Against Madonna

The Madonna concert in Poland is now in jeopardy.

Madonna booked a concert in Warsaw, Poland on August 15. However, this date coincides with the Assumption of Mary, a holy day for the Catholic church.

A group of Catholics is opposed to the singer performing her controversial show, which has anti-Christian innuendos, and also conflicts with celebrations planned for the religious day.

Concert promoters were asked to cancel the show, but if it still takes place, protesters are threatening to rally against the star with a picket line outside as a way to display their discontentment.

This isn’t the first time that Madonna’s shows have become the root of controversy. Last month, Russian authorities made Madonna promise that there will be no blasphemy during her concert in August at the country’s oldest museum.
