Radiohead is one of the most surprising acts of the last fifteen years. Sources claim the band almost succeeded in recording a new album completely under the radar. They might have pulled it off too, if not for a blog in the L.A. Times. A freelance journalist wrote about attending an end of production party in a rented house transformed into a studio.
According to Jia-Rui Cook, who spilled the beans and who appears to be either the sister or girlfriend of sound engineer Bryan Cook, the celebration marked the end of a recording session.
But, as rumours go, take this one with a grain of salt. Sources only refer to a party and three weeks of recording in Los Angeles. The English winter is particularly cold this year and LA is a great place to escape from the cold.
This session might have been a chance to record a few songs. The group announced in the past that they didn’t want to make complete albums any more and would only release singles in the future.
