Matchbox Twenty frontman Rob Thomas told Billboard.com that his second solo album is currently 80% complete. The album is entitled Cradle Songs.
Thomas is very enthusiastic about the disc, which is set for a release at the beginning of next year.
Thanks to producer Matt Serletic, the songs have an international flair, with the sounds of South American and African percussion.
The singer also mentioned that Matchbox Twenty will also start working on a new album soon. Their last album, a compilation including several new songs entitled Exile on Mainstream, was released in 2007.
