The group that normally records their music at their studio in Akron, Ohio, has made some changes for the creation of their fifth disc, Attack & Release.
Dan Auereback performs a guitar solo in the single Remember When. The other tracks are notably different than typical Black Keys music. Banjo, bongos and a flute are featured in some of the songs, including Psychotic Girl and Things Aren’t Like They Used To Be.
The collection of 11 songs was produced by Danger Mouse, and will be released on April 1. The Black Keys plan a spring tour to promote the disc.
