New start for Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez does not regret switching record labels and is very enthusiastic about the future.

Orange News reports that Jennifer Lopez is happy about leaving her record label because she believes it marks a "new beginning" for her.

Earlier this year, the singer announced she was leaving Epic Records after 11 years. This was despite her plans to release a seventh album with the record label this month.

It was announced this week that Jennifer Lopez joined the Island Def Jam team. This group has contributed to the success of superstars like  Rihanna and Mariah Carey.

Lopez is very enthusiastic about the future. She says, "I feel like it’s a new beginning. It’s a bit like when I was a teenager about to embark on this career but it’s much more challenging, difficult and harder. I have so much more experience now but I feel just as fresh as I did back then and I’m excited about my life."

The star does not want to give up work. She recently returned to work following some time off after the birth of her twins, Max and Emme.

She adds, "I won’t stop doing what I do. Maybe I’ll get to a point where I’m tired and feel I’ve done enough, but right now I see myself always working and expressing myself – whether in music or movies or fashion or whatever. That’s what I love to do."
