Newly Renovated Luxury Hotel Opens In Marrakech

The Mamounia has unveiled its new charms.

One of the most renowned hotels in Africa, the Mamounia, located in Marrakech, Moroco, is opening its doors again after 3 years of work, costing an estimated 200 million dollars.

The rooms were decorated with touches of art deco and Arabic style, the restaurants have acquired star chefs and they have installed spas.  The hotel is surrounded by a garden of palm and olive trees stretching over 8 acres.

Since it first opened in 1923, the hotel has received many notable guests. Winston Churchill invited Franklin Roosevelt to the hotel to talk about strategies during World War II. Alfred Hitchcock also filmed scenes for the film The Man Who Knew Too Much and several big names like the Rolling Stones, Charlie Chaplin, Sharon Stone and many other Hollywood stars have experienced its charms.
