While Lady Gaga’s new single, Born This Way, is still selling like hotcakes, the theatrical pop diva is already drumming up interest for the second single Judas from her upcoming album, reports MTV News.
Breaking sales records, Born This Way debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the fastest selling song in digital history – selling more than one million digital copies in five days.
Now, Judas is poised to follow-up her immensely successful debut. Gaga teased fans by posting a taste of the lyrics on Twitter: "I’m just a Holy Fool, oh baby he’s so cruel, but I’m still in love with Judas, baby."
Lady Gaga told radio show host Carson Daly the story behind her next single: "It’s about always falling in love with the wrong man over and over again. ‘Judas’ is a very, very dark song. It’s rad.”
" ‘Judas’ is a classic Lady Gaga pop banger with three huge hooks, a thumping house music breakdown and a vocal part that borrows a bit of Rihanna’s distinctive cadence," according to Rolling Stone magazine, which received a six-song sneak preview of the album.
No release date has been announced for the new single Judas, however, the album is set to drop on May 23.
